About this role

To qualify for the position of Supervisory IT Cybersecurity Specialist, at GS-2210-14, you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below. Basic Qualifications (2210 series): Please refer to the OPM IT Management Series 2210 Qualification Standard for the specific experience requirements for the GS-12 and above positions. AND Specialized Experience: To qualify for the GS-14 grade level, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable non-Federal experience.

Specialized experience is defined as experience performing the following duties: Analyzing complex information systems to ensure compliance with Federal and commercial cybersecurity laws, regulations, and standards; Collaborating with cross-functional teams and leading the implementation of security architecture, controls, and risk management procedures; Conducting independent, comprehensive assessments of information systems, operational protocols, and technical security controls to determine the overall effectiveness of those controls; AND Developing policies, preventive measures, and maintenance documentation to support IT system security authorization and accreditation.
