OPM Qualifications Standards are available at Competency-Based Qualification Standard for the Information Technology Management Series, 2210 Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped applicants with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled.
To be creditable, you must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to GS-15 in the Federal service: For this position, the next lower grade level is a GS-14. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience advising on IT program areas involving the planning, design, development, modification, testing, installation, implementation, and support of information systems including on premise, AWS and Azure environments; AND Experience managing an Enterprise Architecture (EA) Repository and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) software, Agile and Software Asset Management (SAM) tools; AND Experience in the design, development and delivery of applications on Azure Cloud using Microsoft Power Platform and Dataverse; AND Experience establishing policies, procedures, guardrails, and technical catalogs for OCIO-delivered IT products and technologies including oversight of Artificial Intelligence (AI) governance; AND Experience serving as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for a production system.
Basic Requirement Competencies: The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the competencies, as defined: Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. In addition to the GS-2210 compentency based qualification competencies, applicants must demonstrate the following supervisory competencies to be successful in this position: Accountability: Holds self and others accountable for measurable high-quality, timely, and cost effective results.
