Supervisory Physical Security Specialist

About this role

To qualify for the Supervisory Physical Security Specialist, PG-0080-14, you must have one year of experience at or equivalent to the PG-13 in the federal service that includes the following: Evaluating and troubleshooting electronic security systems and infrastructure projects including physical access control systems, intrusion detection systems, video monitoring systems, closed-circuit television, life-safety systems, or other associated security technologies.

Ensuring physical security systems are operationally reliable, compliant with cybersecurity standards, and adherent to federal laws, regulations, building codes, and technical standards. Coordinating emergency response and crisis management activities related to agency security and infrastructure protection. Leading teams or working groups on projects or group assignments. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
