SUPERVISORY PROGRAM MANAGER (SPECIAL OPERATION FORCES)
About this role
You may qualify at the GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service as listed below: Supervising and directing civilian and military Program Managers within a research, development, test and evaluation (RDT&E) portfolio, to include developing overarching strategies, defining objectives, nominating specific projects, and coordinating approved projects; Supervising senior civilian and military personnel, managing complex organizational budgets, and directing multidisciplinary technical teams in high-stakes environments; Overseeing complex RDT&E programs from conceptual research through operational test and evaluation, and leading the development, execution, and demonstration of non-kinetic, innovative operational technologies employed by Special Operation Forces (SOF) in the electronic warfare (EW), radio frequency (RF), or cyber domains; Operating along side uniform military service branches, with specialized expertise in military chain of command structures, integration of RDT&E capabilities, and administrative appraisal mechanisms (e.g.
FITREPs, OERs, Officer Appraisals); Coordinating inter-agency efforts to ensure program activities align with SOCOM, the Joint Forces, Allied/Partner organizations, and that program products are responsive to strategic, operational, and tactical requirements. (THIS EXPERIENCE MUST BE CLEARLY DEMONSTRATED IN YOUR RESUME) Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
