Candidates must meet the educational requirements in addition to specialized experience requirements along with the required competencies in order to be deemed as qualified. GS-15 Specialized Experience: Applicants must have a minimum of one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-(14) in the Federal service. For this position, specialized experience includes the following: 1. Experience providing authoritative advice and assistance on complex accounting and financial management systems requirements and assessments.
2. Experience reviewing, analyzing and auditing a wide variety of accounting systems and documentation required to prepare, validate and analyze financial statements, records and reports. 3. Experience analyzing, developing and implementing solutions to financial or accounting systems for accuracy and to meet agency directives. 4. Experience interpreting, developing, formulating, and implementing accounting policies and procedures.
5. Experience mastering processes to integrate with GSA/Treasury Systems such as CIR, Credit-Card, CSNG, DNP, PAM and SAM, and with the FCC's Auction System and extensive experience in using the agency's GENESIS system, including the database structure. 6. Experience supervising or leading subordinate staff. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
