Systems Integration Specialist
About this role
Applicants must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level (ZP-III at NIST). Specialized experience is defined as experience: Configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Identity and Access Management (IAM) integrations using standard protocols (SAML, OIDC, SCIM, LCM) to ensure secure, seamless authentication and user lifecycle management. Facilitating and configuring systems for complex IT migrations and multi-agency integrations, ensuring smooth interoperability and secure data sharing across environments.
Developing custom scripts and automated workflows using PowerShell, API-driven automation, and other programming languages to streamline administrative tasks, reduce manual overhead, and optimize system operations. Translating business requirements into technical documentation, including detailed system design outlines, user-oriented knowledge base articles for end users, and comprehensive knowledge-transfer materials for stakeholders and system admins.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
