The GS-14 salary range starts at USD 143,913.00 per year. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
Applicants applying for the GS-14 grade level must meet the following requirements: Have IT-related experience demonstrating EACH of the nine competencies AND one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service as described below: IT SPECIALIST COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS: Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
Decision Making - Makes sound, well-informed, and objective decisions; perceives the impact and implications of decisions; commits to action, even in uncertain situations, to accomplish organizational goals; causes change. Information Management - Identifies a need for and knows where or how to gather information; organizes and maintains information or information management systems. Specialized experience is: Managing long-term IT projects, including funding, planning, requirements, analysis, and implementation. Leading studies, cost-benefit analyses, and reviews to support IT system and project decisions. Developing or revising IT policies, practices, services, or strategies based on laws, regulations, business needs, and user needs. Advising customers and stakeholders on IT modernization, software development practices, and business process improvements.
Monitoring project progress, identifying risks or issues, and recommending changes to keep work aligned with program goals.
