Conditions of Employment Continued Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise. May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments. Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the experience or educational substitution requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband (NK-I or GS-04) in Federal service or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes: Planning and organizing management programs and functions of an organization such as cybersecurity liaison (CL), personnel assignments, decorations, awards, promotions, special programs, security or unit recognition programs.

Assisting with military or civilian personnel issues and manpower resource requirements. Using various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of documents. OR EDUCATION: Successfully completed four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.

NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts with your application package KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge and skills to apply a standardized body of personnel rules, regulations, procedures, and precedents to mission requirements.

Knowledge of coding for personnel records using the automated personnel system to receive personnel action requests, reconcile with guidance, and develop supporting courses of action. Skill in entering and retrieving personnel action data; correcting data errors; and inputting, storing, retrieving data and performing quality review of data elements in military personnel data systems. Knowledge of secretarial/clerical assignments and office automation software programs, tools and techniques to perform the procedural and administrative work of the office, such as preparing and editing documents, maintaining files/records, making and preparing travel arrangements, composing various reports, letters, spreadsheets, databases, graphs, inquiries, and technical correspondence.

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; negotiate complex issues sufficient to receive, respond to, and ensure complete resolution of problems; plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of an organization; and maintain good working relationships. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
