VICTIM ADVOCATE (SAPR)
About this role
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: 1. Providing non-clinical support to adult victims of sexual assault and sexual harassment. 2. Supporting sexual harassment victims by assessing their needs, providing crisis intervention, and helping resolve complex problems.
3. Applying sexual assault prevention principles and local community resources to provide direct, one-on-one advocacy and support to victims. 4. Utilizing professional communication and strong interpersonal skills to build trust and support military personnel and families of diverse backgrounds, sexual orientations, and gender identities. 5. Collaborating with military and civilian medical, social service, law enforcement and legal personnel on behalf of sexual assault victims.
