About this role

Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: A minimum of one year of specialized experience directly related to the duties described above. Knowledge and documented skill in grammar, writing, and editing. Experience in producing/editing content for a multimedia organization.

Specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Comprehensive oral and written communication skills. Ability to use computers with standard software packages and desktop publishing. Comprehensive knowledge of publishing concepts, practices and technologies. Demonstrated knowledge of writing for the web. Knowledge/skill in taking and transmitting publishable photographs and videos.

Combinations of education and experience are qualifying and may be acceptable in lieu of the one year specialized experience requirement. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Proven editing experience on a recurring (weekly/monthly) newspaper or magazine with multiple contributing writers. AP Style application experience with editorial sign-off authority, and served as the final copyeditor/style authority on a publication.
